About Salt Lake County Court Docket

Salt Lake County court dockets and case records are divided among Utah District Court clerks, the county Justice Court clerk, and municipal Justice Court clerks. This private reference site organizes the official search portals, office details, and request routes that lead to those custodians. The aim is to help readers identify the right court and find its current public case history without treating one office as the keeper of every county record.

Why We Built This Site

Utah makes many court records public, but access depends on first identifying the court that owns the file. The Clerk of the Third District Court keeps District Court matters. Salt Lake County and city Justice Court clerks keep their own lower-court cases, while juvenile records follow tighter access rules. Utah Courts Xchange brings public District and Justice Court case histories into one search channel, but it does not replace the official file held by the proper clerk. This site gathers those routes in one place so Salt Lake County readers can start with the correct custodian.

What You Will Find Here

  • Case lookups: ways to use Utah docket search tools by name, case number, court, or location
  • Court dates: how to read the court schedule and confirm a setting with the proper clerk
  • Docket guides: how Salt Lake County criminal and civil case histories are found and understood
  • Record requests: where to ask for public files, plain copies, or certified copies from the court that holds them

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no affiliation to a Utah court, clerk, or government agency. Its role has firm limits:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now

Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes displayed on the site. They control their services, result sets, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this free reference resource. Salt Lake County Court Docket does not decide what a partner charges or which records its service returns.
